PUPPY PROFILING PROGRAMME
At Doodledoos we build a profile of each puppy we breed so that we can match the right puppy to the right owner. Within each litter there are puppies that stand out for various reasons - all have a unique personality that develops over time. Behaviours can evolve as the puppies grow into adults and we want to equip our owners with all they need to work through these behaviours confidently. No one knows our puppies like we do! Having known them from the moment they are born we see their identities blossom as time goes by. The observations we make in the 8-10 weeks that your puppy is with us help us to build each profile. We observe play, interaction, senses and responses. The benefits are far reaching and assist each new puppy owner going forward.

PUPPY PROFILING BENEFITS
-
Assists us to assess temperament and traits
-
Enables us to match our puppies to the most suitable family
-
Help us to devise a structured training plan for you and your puppy going forward
-
Gives our customers ability to recognise evolutionary behaviours and work through them with confidence
-
Encourages a mindset that accepts and understands that raising a puppy needs a plan which can change and adapt to suit the needs of the puppy.

THE PROCESS - YOUR PROFILE
Once you decide you would like to have a puppy from us, we ask you to fill in a Questionnaire. This helps us to compile an idea of your home dynamics, previous dog-owning experience, exposure, and knowledge of the ASD and your needs and wants from dog ownership.

THE PUPPY PROFILE
We observe three simple things:
-
1. Does the puppy play with us?
-
2. Does the puppy follow us?
-
3. Does the puppy react to sounds?
By observing these three behaviours, we can gauge the puppy’s suitability for family life, and how well he or she will cope, AT THIS STAGE, with the introduction to their new home. We will provide you with this profile which includes suggestions as to how to tackle challenges in the future. You can also share it with your trainer.

IT'S A MATCH!
The Australian Service Dog is a breed that inherently loves to interact and be close to you. Their qualities often make them the ideal companion for those who have mental and physical challenges, supporting adults at work or children at school and home.
Puppy profiling helps us to identify a puppy that we think will be the best puppy most suited to this kind of role.
